About

Beaux Arts of Central Florida was organized (as Beaux Arts of Daytona) in 1962 by the students of the late Lillian "Lu" Belmont as the first Contemporary Art Group to introduced into the then Provincial Halifax Area.

The main object of this organization is to encourage self-expression through the exploration of all media, and to promote a more free and modern approach to art. Our approach will always be the Classic Fine Arts approach, that is, strict fellowship with the valid art forms of composition, color, space, line and quality of execution. All work must reflect the original, creative air dictated by the artist's deliberate, human choice of use of these values.
